Term Products Old Term
PLM Product Lifecycle Management – processes and tools to manage everything about our products. Change Management is the first piece to manage new controlled files and changes to our products
Change Request An item to create or change Samtec products. Everything starts with a request ECR/ECN
Change Order Group of one or more tasks that must be completed. A request is made up of one or more orders. CAD/ECN. Product and tooling orders were done in ECN.
Domain Grouping of users in Change Management system, typically by product line and standard vs custom products
Request Owner Person ultimately responsible for the request and the work plan Initiator
Initial Reviewer The person that will review the order once the order owner submits for approver Initiator
Work plan The list of orders that will be created for a request
Artifact File in the Enterprise Vault Print/Drawing. There are more than prints to be updated in the Vault
Domain admin User that has elevated privileges in system and can provide access to groups Dean Purvis
Functional group Breakout of users by domain into departmental groups
FFF Form, fit or function change
